Walleye Bite on Fire
Walleye Fishing Reports 5/11/2020While 2020 has been a year filled with more downs than ups, one of the bright spots of 2020 has been the unbelievable Walleye bite which we are experiencing here on beautiful Lake Erie. With records numbers of fish in the lake the bite is as good as we have seen in the past couple of decades. This is certainly to be a bright spot in 2020 as the bite will continue to get better over the next month or so and remain good for the entire summer and fall. Right now fish are beginning to transition from a crankbait bit to a spoon bite. Crankbaits are hot right now (bandits being the most popular), but fish are being caught on spoons which is a sure sign of warmer weather and excellent fishing to come. We got the boat out for the shake down runs on the first weekend of May and she ran great, looks great and is ready for customers. Limits of nice Walleyes and quality time with the family. We have open dates and everything you need to enjoy a safe, exciting, and memorable day on the big pond. Lake Erie charters were shut down for a short period of time due to the orders from the Governor of Ohio, but as of May 12th charter fishing is a go! We are ready and willing to take you fishing. We will be sanitizing boat surfaces between trips, offering a hand washing station and providing you with a full stand up head for use on the boat. We are doing everything we can to keep you safe and put you on fish. Due to the governors orders we are offering a June special of 3 and 4 man full day Walleye trips for $600. This is a one time only special due to social distancing requirements and making trips more accessible for smaller groups of family and friends.
